What is this Renewed Heart Campaign?


Our Renewed Heart Campaign is a challenge to our Church family to participate in preparing ourselves and our facilities to continue God's work in the community of Graham.

Hasn't there been a campaign before?  Yes, and it was very successful!  The Choose Campaign, which began four years ago in November of 2006, allowed us to improve the church property, preparing the way for our final construction phase.  In the last three years lives have been changed and committed for Christ, members of our Church family have matured in their faith, and our facility improvements have shown we're a church on the move.

What was done with the funds from the previous campaign?  The Choose campaign funds allowed us to complete many visible projects on our site and many projects not so apparent.  Some of the more visible projects include: 

  • The new turn lane on 224th
  • The alternate exit to Meridian
  • The fence and landscaping
  • The new Youth building
  • Paving in the rear of the Church

Even more important are some of the invisible projects that have been completed:

  • Thousands of yards of structural fill brought in
  • All storm water drains are in place
  • New, larger water main and fire hydrant installed
  • Three phase power in place for the complete project
  • Relocated telephone system
  • Upgraded fire sprinkler system
  • Site preparation complete for final phase of building


Is the Renewed Heart Campaign all about raising money?  No.  While the financial commitment of the campaign is important to our continued growth, the Renewed Heart Campaign is hoping to “amp-up” your passion for Jesus and His kingdom.  The four goals of the campaign include:

A Forgiven Heart – Something that only Christ can do.

  • A Connected Heart – Getting plugged in to service at church.
  • A Generous Heart – Committing financial support to further God's work.
  • A Grateful Heart – Thanking God for all he has done, and will do.

What will be done with the funds from the campaign?  Our primary goal is to finish the final phase of our building project; a 26,650 sq. ft. worship center!  This concert style building will seat approximately 850 people.  The tall, one-story structure will include a new entry hall, new administration offices, classrooms, restrooms, nursery rooms and support spaces.The campaign funds should also help us to keep a manageable debt level.  Our current debt is approximately $1.2 million.  New building construction is estimated to be around $3 million, for a total amount of approximately $4.2 million.  If campaign contributions for the next three years reach $1.5 million, our total loan amount will be reduced to $2.7 million.

What can I do now?  Pray! Pray! Pray! And then....Pray some more!!  Ask God to prepare you and our entire Church family for the commitment to Him and His work in the Graham area.

Renewed Heart Campaign Update:

As of January 9th, 2011 we have pledges amounting to $631,628.00 over the next three years! 

We praise the LORD for this commitment from the GEBC church body.
